Florida National’s Lismar Bentancourt Garners CAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week Honor

For the second time this fall, Florida National University freshman Lismar Bentancourt has been recognized as the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Bentancourt placed second at last weekend's St. Thomas University Bobcat Open 2, covering the 6-kilometer course in 24:39.7. She was competing against runners from NCAA Division II schools Lynn University (Florida) and Nova Southeastern University (Florida) and NAIA's St. Thomas.

The Valencia, Venezuela, native previously was honored on September 16.
