Florida College’s Cassidy Lee Highlights 2025 CAC Women’s Volleyball All-Conference Team as Player of the Year

Florida College senior Cassidy Lee has been named the 2025 Continental Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Year, highlighting all-conference team selections announced on the eve of this year's championship tournament.

Other honors went to Florida National University sophomore Kitula Amaya Morales, as Attacker of the Year; Simpson University (California) junior Brooke Sarahina, as Setter of the Year; Carolina University (North Carolina) freshman Kai Horta, as Defender of the Year; and Florida College junior Taina de Lima Nunes, as Newcomer of the Year.

Florida National's Carlos Huaroto-Luque was named the CAC Coach of the Year.

Lee has been an all-around player for the Falcons this fall, tallying 387 kills, 343 digs, 99 blocks and 497 points. She hit at a .254 clip and averaged 3.12 kills per set during the regular season. Lee led the team with 47 solo blocks.

Amaya Morales averaged 3.18 kills per set across 29 matches for the Conquistadors. She totaled 299 kills to spark the team's offensive attack. The sophomore also has recorded 297 digs and 20 blocks.

Sarahina guided the Red Hawks' offense by averaging 7.83 assists per set while posting 611 assists across 23 matches. She also tallied 35 service aces.

Horta compiled 530 digs and averaged an impressive 4.69 digs per set across 31 matches this fall. She had 44 service aces in 113 sets played during her collegiate debut season.

de Lima Nunes has anchored an offensive attack with 1,070 assists and averaged 8.70 assists per set across 36 matches.

Huaroto-Luque guided Florida National to a 15-16 record during the regular season and victories in all six matches against CAC opposition this fall. The Conquistadors are the top seed for the 2025 CAC Championship Tournament, which begins with pool play on Friday, November 14, in Lawrence, Kansas. The tournament is being hosted by Haskell Indian Nations University.
