Six Teams Competing for CAC Women’s Volleyball Title

Six teams from across America are meeting in the country's heartland to compete in the 2025 Continental Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament, being hosted by Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas.

Pool-play matches begin on Friday, November 14, with the top two teams in each pool advancing to the semifinal round on Saturday, November 15. The champion will be crowned Saturday night.

Pool A teams are No. 1 seed Florida National University, No. 3 seed Carolina University (North Carolina) and No. 6 seed Westcliff University (California).

Pool B teams are No. 2 seed Florida College, No. 4 seed Simpson University (California) and No. 5 seed Haskell Indian Nations.

Florida National (15-16) won all six matches against CAC opposition this fall. Chriselle Ferdinand leads the Conquistadors with 300 kills and Kitula Amaya Morales follows closely behind with 299 kills. Ivette Sandoval has provided 554 assists and Ariana Long has a team-best 398 digs.

Carolina (21-13) went 4-2 in CAC matches and had a 9-9 record in away matches this fall. The Bruins are led by SarahElizabeth Samuels with 265 kills, while Karli Totel (253) and Britney Comolli (246) round out the team's balanced offensive attack. Syvannah Poore has 689 assists and Kai Horta has contributed 530 digs to the defense.

Westcliff (13-13) posted a 6-4 league record and enters the postseason on a two-match winning streak. The Warriors are making their postseason debut. Samantha Carelock paces the offensive attack with 306 kills and Stacy Folas follows closely behind with 267 kills. Amanda Ferreira leads the team with 535 assists and Daniela Sandoval has posted 412 digs.

Florida College (16-20) won four of its six league matches this season. Fiona Sampaio leads the Falcons with 393 kills and Cassidy Lee has provided 387 kills. Raquel Teixeira has collected 202 kills in just 64 sets played in 2025. Taina de Lima Nunes has recorded an impressive 1,070 assists across 36 matches. Sampaio has had 392 digs on a team that has five players with 200 or more digs. Addeson Coffey has chipped in 345 digs.

Simpson (14-15) posted a 9-1 record against CAC competition and is making its postseason debut. Mariah Napoleon leads the team with 284 kills and Tiara Manns has chipped in 267 kills. Mackenzie Tataryn is tops on the team with 254 assists and Brooklyn Jimenez anchors a defensive unit with 371 digs.

Haskell Indian Nations (7-30) went 1-4 against CAC teams and was 5-6 at home this season. Tressa Jim leads the Fighting Indians with 359 kills, while Mya Dalgai (234 kills) and Kayelani Maiava (230 kills) round out the team's balanced attack. Jaspen Ellenwood has recorded 403 assists and Alaina Dugi has posted 642 digs this season.
