Florida Trio Collect CAC Women’s Volleyball Weekly Awards

Florida College senior Cassidy Lee and junior Taina de Lima Nunes have joined Florida National University junior Ariana Long in earning the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week awards in the stretch drive of the 2025 season.

Lee, the Attacker of the Week, had 11 or more kills across five matches to collect 68 kills last week for the Falcons. The middle blocker had a .294 hitting percentage as the team went 3-2 for the week. The Fort Pierce, Florida, native had 18 kills against St. Thomas University (Florida) last Thursday and 17 kills the next day against Florida National.

de Lima Nunes, the Setter of the Week, averaged 8.78 assists per set to total 158 assists for the week. The Sao Paulo, Brazil, native had 35 assists in matches against Florida Memorial University and Florida National last Friday.

Long, the Defender of the Week, had 11 digs and five kills in the Conquistadors' 3-0 sweep against Florida College, helping the team improve to 6-0 against CAC opponents this fall. The Homestead, Florida, native had three service aces in the home triumph.
