Underclassmen Named Initial CAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Honorees

Florida National University sophomore Mia Betancourt and freshman Ganesia Bogle have received the first Continental Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards for the 2026 spring season.

Betancourt, the athlete recipient, posted a personal best 2:34.73 in the 800-meter race and was a member of FNU's 4-x-400-meter relay team that posted a season best 4:34.71 at last Saturday's Nova Southeastern University Shark Invite. The Miami native had a pair of impressive performances against a field full of NCAA Division II competitors.

Bogle, the field honoree, started her collegiate career with an eighth-place finish in the long jump with a 4.53 meters leap at the Nova Southeastern University Shark Invite. She is from Miami Gardens, Florida.
