Georgia Gwinnett College’s Barbora Kadlecova Named 2025 CAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Year

Georgia Gwinnett College freshman Barbora Kadlecova has been selected the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Year among postseason honors for the 2025 season.

The awards, selected by voting of league coaches, were announced as this year's postseason championship tournament began on Friday, November 7, at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville. The tournament continues until Tuesday, November 11.

GGC junior Rirei Sasaki received the Goalkeeper of the Year award and Bellevue University (Nebraska) senior Aileen Perez earned the Newcomer of the Year award. Belleuve's Tom White rounded out this year's honorees as Coach of the Year.

Kadlecova started 17 of the Grizzlies' 18 matches this fall, scoring three goals and providing three assists as a defender. She helped the team's defense post five shutouts. Kadlecova found the back of the net off a corner kick in the team's victory against defending national champion SCAD Savannah (Georgia).

Sasaki made 51 saves and was in goal for six of GGC's eight victories this fall. She started 14 matches for the CAC tournament's top-seeded team.

Perez has shined in her lone season for Bellevue, scoring seven goals, including three match-winners, and contributing five assists across 15 matches. She stands third on the team with 19 points.

White guided the Bruins to an 11-2-2 record and No. 2 seeding in the CAC tournament.
