University of Victoria Drives to 2026 CAC Women’s Golf Championship
Consistent play paved the way for the University of Victoria (British Columbia) to capture 2026 Continental Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship title played on the Rockwind Community Links Golf Course in Hobbs, New Mexico, and hosted by the University of the Southwest.
Victoria won by 27 strokes after compiling a 668 composite score in the 36-hole tournament. The Vikes carded a 333-stroke team score in Tuesday's final round after having a 335 score in Monday's first round.
Southwest placed second with a 695-stroke team score, which was three strokes better than the third-place Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas). Texas A&M University-Texarkana finished in fourth place with a 702-stroke score. Texas A&M University-Victoria and Florida College rounded out the team standings with 814- and 937-stroke scores, respectively.
Cindy Koira won CAC low medalist honors after posting a 154-stroke composite score in two days on the competitive course. Antonia Ho placed third with a 165-stroke score. Kenzie Bowers carded a 10-over-par 82 score in the final round to place ninth.
Southwest's Gabrielle Perez finished in second place after a strong 78-stroke score over Tuesday's final 18 holes.
Our Lady of the Lake had three top-10 finishers, led by Samantha Garcia with a 166-stroke score and fourth-place finish. Grayson Weiler placed seventh with a 169-stroke score and Sophia Young had a ninth-place finish with a 174-stroke score.
Texas A&M-Texarkana's Liberty Thomson rounded out the strong individual finishers, collecting a fifth-place finish after a final-round 167-stroke score.
