Strong Performances Lead to CAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards

Arkansas Baptist College junior Emani Wofford and Washington Adventist University (Maryland) senior Isabela Lujan-Gonzales have been named the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Players of the Week after strong performances for their teams.

Wofford, the offensive award recipient, averaged 26 points and made 56.8 percent of her field goals across two games. The guard scored 20 points and collected seven assists in a 78-37 victory against Eccelsia College (Arkansas) last Monday. The Nashville native concluded her strong week by having 32 points in a 93-78 loss to Rust College (Mississippi) last Wednesday.

Lujan-Gonzales, the defensive honoree, had nine steals in a victory against Fisher College (Massachusetts) last Monday. She averaged 8.3 points and four steals across four games last week. The Alexandria, Virginia, native had five steals in a 74-53 victory against the University of Fort Lauderdale (Florida) last Friday.
