CAC Announces Final Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards of 2025

Florida National University freshman Maria De Gracia and Georgia Gwinnett College sophomore Jamya Griffin have been named the final Continental Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week awards for the 2025 portion of the 2025-26 season.

De Gracia, the offensive recipient, had a double-double performance with 24 points and 10 rebounds in the Conquistadors' 74-72 loss against Webber International University (Florida) last Tuesday.  The forward made 10 of her 16 field goals in 33 minutes of action.

Griffin, the defensive honoree, had five steals in the Grizzlies' win at fellow CAC opponent Carolina University (North Carolina) last Thursday. For the week, the guard averaged 3.5 steals and 12 points across two games. Her strong play helped GGC close out 2025 with two victories.
