Georgia Gwinnett College’s Ousmane Fall Captures 2025 CAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Year Honor
Georgia Gwinnett College freshman Ousmane Fall has earned honors as the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Year and shared Newcomer of the Year for the 2025 season.
The postseason honors, selected by voting of league coaches, were announced before the start of this year's postseason championship tournament, starting on Friday, November 7, and continuing until Tuesday, November 11, at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
GGC freshman Victor Darub earned the Goalkeeper of the Year award while the Grizzlies' Steve DeCou was named the Coach of the Year.
Florida National University junior David Luque shared the Newcomer of the Year award to round out the honorees.
Fall was named the league's offensive player of the week three times after pacing Georgia Gwinnett College with 14 goals and 31 points during the regular season. The forward found the back of the net in matches against nationally ranked Lindsey Wilson University (Kentucky) and University of the Cumberlands (Kentucky). Fall tallied a hat trick against Talladega College (Alabama) late this fall.
Darub had six shutouts and posted a 1.04 goals against average while starting all 15 matches. He made 42 saves and recorded 10 victories this fall.
DeCou guided the Grizzlies to a 10-2-3 record, a No. 12 national ranking and top seeding in the 2025 CAC championship tournament.
Luque scored nine goals and contributed nine assists to tally 27 points. He accounted for three match-winning goals. Luque attempted 43 shots and started 12 matches for the Conquistadors.
