Florida National Sweeps CAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week Awards

A pair of upperclassmen from Florida National University have collected the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards after leading the team to two victories last week.

Junior Fabio Zandona, the offensive honoree, scored three goals in the Conquistadors' two shutout wins. The midfielder had both goals in the team's 2-0 win against Florida College last Friday. The Sao Paulo, Brazil, native then found the back of the net in a 6-0 triumph against Webber International University (Florida) last Wednesday.

Senior Ricardo Delwing, the defensive recipient, helped the team secure the two shutouts and second straight conference victory with the triumph against Florida College. The Estrela, Brazil, native has helped the defensive unit take advantage of set offensive pieces and clearing the ball away from any potential opposing scoring opportunities.
