Final CAC Baseball Players of the Week Announced

Hesston College (Kansas) junior Kaleb Wise and Georgia Gwinnett College freshman Kyle Haag have been named the final Continental Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week award winners for the 2026 season.

Wise, the Hitter of the Week honoree, smashed five home runs to help the Larks capture a series against Champion Christian College (Arkansas). He hit three homers and drove in five runs in a 9-8 series-opening victory last Thursday. The Newton, Kansas, native then connected on a pair of homers in a 7-4 triumph to open last Saturday's doubleheader. The first baseman scored six runs and drove in seven runs across four games.

Haag, the Pitcher of the Week award winner, was dominant in two relief appearances by tossing five hitless innings and striking out six opposing batters. The right-hander had three strikeouts in three innings against CAC opponent Fisher College (Massachusetts) last Saturday. The Delaware, Ohio, native began the week with three strikeouts in two innings on the mound last Tuesday against Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina). Hagg did not allow a run during each outing.

The 2026 CAC Baseball Championship begins on Wednesday, April 29, with five teams competing in the double-elimination tournament taking place at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
